I'm so sorry that it has been so long since my last post. We have had one heck of a busy summer AND....our Mac broke down and we had to get a new hard drive installed so I was out of commission for a little bit. Nonetheless....I am back and here is a "tiny" recap of our summer in picture form. :)
I ran into these guys downtown when picking up my color run packet
Color Run before picture. Matt couldn't run because he sprained his ankle.
After picture
another after picture. :)
We Snook girls can't resist a good slurpee....and why wouldn't you spend the extra dollar on a mustache straw?
Over Memorial Day weekend we went to Long Beach with Nana and Papa Heath. The below are pictures from our trip there.
in Nana and Papa's camper
Walking back from watching the sunset...well actually we missed the sunset so it was just an evening walk.
Riding bikes on an awesome trail. Charlotte rode her bike 4 miles. She did better than the dog whom I had to end up carrying back while on roller blades.
Rides in Long Beach...probably the most ghetto that I have ever seen but still fun.
Our new home
Moving out of our old home after 8 years
The girls having fun with Madelyn at her school carnival while we moved homes.
Anna's new room
Charlotte's new room....both girls picked the paint color for their room and we painted before moving in.
The following weekend after we moved, Charlotte and cousin Madelyn had their first dance recital. :) They both did very well.
This was actually a before shot. :) Nerves.
For the 4th of July long weekend we went up to our cabin in beautiful British Columbia with the rest of the Snook family (Wan's and Fosback's). We had a wonderful time.
Riah and Charlotte
Charlotte learned to do a flip....most of the flip happens under water
You honestly couldn't keep this kid out of the water.
The trampoline was a huge hit.
Charlotte gave water skiing a shot this year. It was not a success and she chose to end her water skiing career for the summer.
All of the cousins together
and even a family shot.
Charlotte graduated from Pre-School this year. :) Such a big girl.
I ran my first ever half marathon this year. It was hard....don't ask my time. :)
Fun in the backyard of our new home.
Day trip downtown with one of our favorite families. :)
on the big wheel.
loving the big wheel
At the aquarium. Never mind that we crashed Slalom Consulting's summer picnic. :) Thanks Hans.
Hanging out in Renton with our friend's the Fischer's. Feeding the ducks.
Charlotte and Ryan lounging.....i can picture this photo 10 years from now too. :)
Mountlake Terrace has an annual fair every year called Tour De Terrace. This is the first year that we went, but the girls had so much fun....we went on Friday and Sunday.
My brother was notified that he was being deployed to Afghanistan this summer. We are all very sad that he is gone. He left in August and will be gone a whole year....or maybe longer. I thought I would steal a pic of him with the girls before he left....we'll see how much they've grown by the time he gets back.
Random park trip with a cool tree.
In August we went back to the cabin for 5 days with our good friends the Fischer's. We were really able to relax this trip because all of the kids are a little bit older we didn't have to worry so much. We had a blast showing our little slice of heaven off.
PEPS pot luck reunion at our new house. Lots of kiddos now. :)
The girls with their friend Livija.
For Labor Day weekend we were invited to join our friends' Tanya, Patrick and Livija in Grayland Washington. We had a blast on the beach and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Even the dog had a good time. :)
She fell asleep watching the ipad. :) super cute
riding behind the tractor...they loved this.
eating ice cream in Westport.
The day finally came where Charlotte entered the world of public school. Kindergarten started on September 3rd and she was so excited. Her first day was great and she was excited to go back.
Walking to school with mom. (I worked from home to be able to take her)
And...that's it for now. :)
